The Big Lantern Ghost is the mid-boss of the Shy Guy's Toy Box from Paper Mario. He is a giant Lantern Ghost with a bandage on its forehead and resides in an extremely dark room.
In battle Mario and his partners should attack the ghost's lantern, which in turn causes the room to brighten. When the room lit enough so the ghost can be seen, Mario and company can attack the Big Lantern Ghost directly. After the ghost is defeated, Mario can shatter the lantern with his Hammer. A Li'l Sparky named Watt will emerge from the lantern. After Mario frees her, Watt becomes Mario's sixth companion.
