Flip Tiles are yellow platforms that appear in Super Mario Galaxy in the Toy Time Galaxy on the 8-bit Mario-Luigi planet as an obstacle. When stepped on, they start flipping downwards, causing the plumbers to slide off into space, thus losing a life if they do not move off it quick enough. It could be reasoned that after a certain amount of time, they would cease turning; however, they continue to turn indefinitely when they are triggered.

Flip Tiles[citation needed] are yellow platforms that appear in the Toy Time Galaxy on the 8-bit MarioLuigi planet as an obstacle in Super Mario Galaxy. When stepped on, they start flipping downwards. They continue to turn indefinitely when they are triggered.

While the planet returns in Mario Squared Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, the Flip Tiles are replaced by Flipswitch Panels in the first mission and generic solid yellow blocks in the second mission.
