A Chainsaw[1] (also called a Buzz Saw)[2] is an obstacle in Super Mario World. It is a mechanical saw that moves on tracks. They damage Mario or Luigi unless they do a Spin Jump on them or stomp them while on Yoshi. Chainsaws are in most of the levels that have tracks with platforms traveling across them. Several Chainsaws appear in Cheese Bridge Area and two in Way Cool.

In the Super Mario Mash-up in Minecraft, Stonecutters are replaced by Chainsaws.
