Rumbla Island is a stony region of Concordia in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is found drifting in Lushgreen Sea following the Uni-Tree's destruction. It is the first area Mario and Luigi discover and explore after reaching Shipshape Island, and the first one to be linked. It is the home of Billdit, Maykit, and their mother Willma, who serves as the island's chief. Stone sculptures made by the villagers are found throughout.

History[edit]

When Mario and Luigi arrive, they find out that Guardarms are causing trouble for the island's residents, destroying their art. After helping them, the island's chief Willma grants them access to the northern part of the island where the lighthouse resides so they can link the island to Shipshape. Later, after linking Twistee Island and Raynforst Island, the Guardarms attack again, this time causing much more vandalism than before. Mario and Luigi return to investigate, and they discover that Gorumbla is responsible for the attacks. They find him and best him in combat, after which Willma, who had raised Gorumbla, scolds him for his destructive behavior. She charges into him, sending him flying, and the island residents start rebuilding their art. Gorumbla then dedicates himself and his Guardarms to repairing the damage they have done.

Gorumbla becomes infected with Glohm after Reclusa's awakening, causing him to attack the island again. Mario and Luigi fight and defeat him, returning him to his senses. Despite his lack of control over his actions, Willma remains angry at him until Billdit and Maykit remind her of Gorumbla's importance to their family. Once Willma forgives him, Mario and Luigi are able to collect her family's Bond, which helps them break into the Soli-Tree.

Enemies[edit]

After Reclusa awakens, the enemies are replaced with Glohm versions of themselves.
