Ryota Kawade is a game designer employed by Intelligent Systems. He directed the first three installments of the Paper Mario series.
History[edit]
Kawade studied machinery for factory jobs, but he decided he wanted to do a creative job, and decided to enter the game industry. He initially wanted to be a game planner, but as Intelligent Systems was only hiring designers and programmers at the time, he decided to sign as a designer instead.[1]
