FlippinCards PMCS.png

Flippin' Cards! is a minigame that appears in Paper Mario: Color Splash. It can be played by entering the Spinning-Door after matching the blue panels.

The minigame is a memory game similar to Memory Match from Mario Party, as the floor is laid out with a grid of ? Panels. The objective is to flip the panels over using Mario's hammer to find matching pairs of Battle Cards within the time limit of either 30, 35, 40, or 50 seconds depending on the Spinning-Door's location. For each pair Mario finds, the card will be added to his inventory, and two seconds will be added to the clock. If Mario flips two non-matching panels, he will be stunned for a brief moment before the panels flip back over. Ten of the twelve ? Panels are Battle Cards, while the remaining two affect the timer: one adds five seconds when flipped over; the other subtracts ten seconds. If the second card flipped in a pair is a timer card, the previously hit card will flip back over with no penalty.

If only time cards remain unflipped, the game will automatically reveal them and end the minigame. Mario is kicked out once all the cards have either been collected or despawn.
