Stardust Battle is a Rare minigame in Mario Party 3.
Overview[edit]
It is the final stage of Story Mode, and is also unlocked by completing it. The player tries dodging flaming star meteors, which cool off shortly after landing, then the player can pick it up and throw it at the Millennium Star, who glows redder after each hit. The field is altered by the Millennium Star after every hit in Easy mode, two hits in Normal mode, or three hits in Hard mode. The minigame plays identically to Hard mode in Super Hard and Free Play modes. The Millennial Star first changes the floored from checkered to goop-covered, then to an ice floor with low traction. In total, the Millennium Star requires three hits to defeat in Easy mode, six in Normal, or nine in Hard and Super Hard mode. If either the player touches a hot meteor, gets hit by one, or time runs out, they lose.
Controls[edit]
– Move
– Jump
– Pick up/throw falling star
In-game text[edit]
- Game Rules – "Gather up the falling stars that land in the playing field, then throw them at the Millennium Star."
- Advice – "If you try to pick up a falling star while it's still glowing, you'll be out, so be careful."
