Line Jump cards are somewhat unique in that each line of paint on the card is used for one hit, and the hits decrease in power with each one. In rare cases, the card can run out of paint before the attack is finished, and any subsequent stomps will deal 1 damage. It is available for purchase unpainted for 20 coins, and available for at the price of 90 coins in painted form.

The Line Jump is an attack that appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Color Splash. In both of its appearances, it functions similarly to the Multibounce badge in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, stomping every enemy in battle in a row.

History[edit]

Paper Mario: Sticker Star[edit]

“Stomps all foes in a line. Gets progressively weaker and faster with each jump.”
In-game description

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the Line Jump appears as a basic attack sticker, where they are sold for 12 coins in Decalburg. They can be found commonly throughout the levels, mainly in Worlds 1-3. It appears similar to the Jump sticker, but sports a light and dark blue design.

Like other basic stickers of its kind, it occupies 1 square of space in the Album. When used, Mario will attempt to jump on every enemy in battle in a line traveling back and forth, hitting each enemy up to three times. The chain is broken if Mario lands on a spiked enemy, however.

It can be placed into the No. 15 slot in the Sticker Museum alongside its stronger counterparts, such as the Shiny Line Jump. It is given an attack rating of one star.

Paper Mario: Color Splash[edit]

The Line Jump reappears in Paper Mario: Color Splash in Battle Card form. It functions similarly to its predecessor, stomping multiple enemies in battle. However, Mario only bounces forward and then backwards once. Line Jump cards are somewhat unique in that each line of paint on the card is used for one hit, and the hits decrease in power with each one. In rare cases, the card can run out of paint before the attack is finished, and any subsequent stomps will deal 1 damage. It is available for purchase unpainted for 20 coins, and available for 90 coins in painted form.

Additionally, more powerful variants appear in the form of the Big Line Jump and the Huge Line Jump cards. Unlike most other jump-based cards, the Line Jump does not have a x2, x3, or x5 variant, which is a trait it shares with the Spin Jump.

In the Prisma Museum, it is located in the #10 slot.
