Her name is a pun on "edgy," a term often used to mock characters and works viewed as taking excessive yet ultimately ineffectual measures to appeal to older male audiences, tying in with her punk-inspired design and characterization.

===Background=== | |||
Edge was created by Cursa as the leader of the Spark Hunters, and thus received free will of thinking, allowing her to lead the other Spark Hunters. Using that free will, Edge was able to see the evil inside of Cursa, and about her plan, and thus betrayed Cursa. Edge then tried to change the Spark Hunters for the better, but they turned against her, and remained loyal to Cursa. Edge then left, and traveled throughout the galaxy to save as many Sparks as she could. After her betrayal, Cursa created Kanya to take her place. Kanya did not like her position, however, and thus she fled to the Melodic Gardens to create a plot to overthrow Cursa and rule the galaxy herself.
===Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope===
When the heroes enter the Sunrise Temple on Beacon Beach in order to save Twinkle, Edge sees the group enter, and stealthily follows them inside, much to the worry of Augie. When the heroes find Twinkle surrounded by Stooges, Edge arrives just in time to decimate them, much to the surprise of the other heroes. She then gains Twinkle's trust by showing it mercy, but the Giant Wildclaw arrives, and the heroes team up with Edge to take it down.
After the Giant Wildclaw is defeated, Beep-0 tells Edge that they need Twinkle in order to enter the lighthouse to stop the Darkmess Tentacle. Augie arrives to congratulate the heroes, but upon seeing Edge, he gets frightened, calling her a Spark Hunter in the process. Edge corrects him and joins the heroes on their adventure.
| |||
While on the planet Pristine Peaks, the heroes stop a harsh blizzard caused by a Darkmess Tentacle. After spotting the other Darkmess Tentacle at the Winter Palace, the heroes journey there and rescue a frozen Captain Orion at the entrance. He tasks the heroes to enter the Palace help him save "the girl", who is later revealed to be Rabbid Rosalina. At the top floor, the heroes prepare for a fight against one of Cursa's Spark Hunters, Midnite. She becomes happy upon seeing Edge, but quickly shows disapproval upon learning that she has sided with the heroes. Midnite then tells them all that she and Edge used to be friends, surprising them. Annoyed, Edge stops the conversation. They then defeat Midnite with the help of Rabbid Rosalina. After the battle, Edge shows mercy towards Midnite, who flies off in sorrow.
As the heroes journey across Palette Prime, they find Bowser in Paletteville, who is engaged in a fight with another of Cursa's Spark Hunters, Bedrock. When Bedrock notices Edge, she becomes surprised and loses her focus, allowing Bowser to strike. Bedrock quickly retaliates and throws Bowser into a nearby Darkmess Tentacle and jumps in after him. The heroes come to Bowser's aid and defeat Bedrock, who escapes with the help of Daphne after the battle.
When the heroes notice that Edge has history with the Spark Hunters, they begin to show concern. Before arriving at Terra Flora, JEANIE tells the heroes that Cursa's stronghold has a barrier around it, causing Beep-0 to ask Edge if she knows a way, telling her that she knew Midnite and Bedrock, and is suspicious about her. Edge gets angry and tells him that they do not want any of her business to become theirs. Embarrassed, Beep-0 casually shows joy of being able to see the flower prairies of the planet in person and tells everyone to prepare for landing. After Terra Flora has been saved, the heroes become trapped in bubbles. Edge and Bowser share a bubble, with Edge glaring at him.
Before arriving in Barrendale Mesa, Edge tells the group that she knows that the "most devious Spark Hunter" is there, and that they better find Momma before she does. When Daphne captures Momma, Edge becomes enraged with her and tells the heroes to be cautious. After Daphne's defeat, Cursa attacks the heroes, but Rosalina temporarily breaks free from its control. She creates a portal for the heroes to escape, before Cursa regains control. Edge alerts Mario to follow her to the portal, and all of the heroes successfully get away.
| |||
At Cursa's stronghold, a Darkmess copy of Edge is fought, known as Darkmess Edge. Beep-0 and JEANIE become worried, but Edge declares that Cursa does not know her at all. After the battle, Edge confesses that she was created by Cursa, and that she was formerly the leader of the Spark Hunters. She did not tell the others because she thought that they would not have a reason to believe her, but Beep-0 tells her that they have many reasons, with JEANIE even declaring that Edge is part of their family. Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Mario offer support as well. Edge thanks everyone, and they head out to stop Cursa.
After Cursa is defeated and Rosalina is saved, Rosalina questions Edge for what she will do next. Edge replies that the Spark Hunters are still alive, and with Cursa gone, they will have to find a new profession. She then decides to stay with the heroes, to see if she "can't keep air in their lungs".
====The Last Spark Hunter====
In The Last Spark Hunter DLC, Edge joins the other heroes on their mission to save the Melodic Gardens after learning the planet has gone silent. Upon meeting the warden of the planet, Allegra, she tells everyone that Kanya, a former leader of the Spark Hunters is attacking the planet. Confused, Edge then proclaims that all of the Spark Hunters have already been defeated. Upon meeting Kanya herself, who expresses her enjoyment about meeting the heroes, Edge sternly points out that she has never heard of her before. After Kanya is defeated and the Melodic Gardens have been saved, Edge and the others set out to Cursa's stronghold.
====Rayman in the Phantom Show====
Edge makes a small cameo in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC, where she, along with the other heroes (with the exception of Bowser) see Rayman's gift to Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario - a copy of his hoodie.
==General information==
===Appearance=== | |||
Edge is a female Rabbid who looks vastly different from most other Rabbids. She has spiky black and green hair with green "eyebrows" and wears purple diamond earrings. Edge's eyes are less protruded from her head than most Rabbids, being larger and rounder, and have purple/pink eyeshadow, with a pointed eyelash for each eye. Her eyes are light blue, with black pupils. Edge's mouth does not have the pink around it unlike other normal Rabbids, and she has sharp teeth, and the interiors are orange in color with her tongue being a lighter shade. Edge wears a torn purple shirt with a black jacket over it, unzipped. On her hands, Edge wears black fingerless gloves. On her feet, Edge wears black boots with a green line around the top, with a triangle shape being formed in front. Edge's clothing and personality strongly indicate that she is a tough, punk/goth themed Rabbid. Edge is also slightly taller than most other Rabbids.
===Powers and abilities===
====Movement==== | |||
| |||
In battle, Edge can perform up to four Dashes in a turn if the upgrades are purchased on the "Movement" branch of her Skill Tree, making her the hero with the most Dashes in the game. These Dashes can also increase her movement by 3m and increase each subsequent Dash's power by an additional 20%. Edge can also increase her glide time after performing a Team Jump with another hero.
br | |||
====Weapon==== | |||
| |||
Edge's weapon is the Flying Blade. It can be thrown at an enemy, damaging them and hitting other enemies in its path before returning to Edge, striking them again. The weapon has medium range, ignores partial cover and deals more hits to bigger enemies. In the "Weapon" branch of Edge's Skill Tree, upgrades can be purchased to increase the critical hit chance, range, and size of the Flying Blade, as well as increasing the damage by 5% for each hit dealt to enemies in a throw.
br | |||
====Technique==== | |||
| |||
Edge's Technique is Stormblade, an altered version of the Hero Sight Technique that allows Edge to strike at all enemies within a small radius around her when an enemy moves. Active weapon Super Effects will be inflicted onto struck enemies as well. In the "Technique" branch of Edge's Skill Tree are upgrades that increase the damage and range of Stormblade, and allow Edge to gain an additional Stormblade charge, allowing her to strike enemies twice with the Technique. The "Mountain Stance" upgrade gives Edge a 50% damage reduction from all sources while Stormblade is active. Edge holds her Flying Blade while Stormblade is active. Stormblade has a cooldown of three turns, and is the only Technique of all the heroes that has no cooldown upgrades.
===Relationships with other characters===
Rabbid Mario falls in love with Edge the second he sees her inside the Sunrise Temple. Throughout the entirety of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Rabbid Mario shows his feelings for Edge, such as building a giant snow sculpture of his likeness in Pristine Peaks and declaring that the two of them "make one heck of a team" in Terra Flora. Edge shows annoyance for Rabbid Mario because of his continuous romantic feelings for her. Edge still fights alongside Rabbid Mario during their adventure. When the heroes see the Wiggler chasing the Wiggler Train, Rabbid Mario jumps into Edge's arms in fright, surprising her. At the end of the journey right before the final battle with Cursa, Rabbid Mario claims Edge "nearly fainted at the sight of his enormous biceps" as they fought together.
While all of the heroes work with Beep-0, Edge tends to show irritation towards him at times, such as when Beep-0 asked if Edge knew a way to get past the barrier to Cursa's stronghold, causing Edge to snap at him due to her past with the Spark Hunters. Another example is in Barrendale Mesa when Beep-0 suggests skipping a Darkmess Puddle, in which Edge replies that they cannot do that. Despite all this, Edge still cooperates with Beep-0. After Edge reveals her backstory at Cursa's Stronghold, Beep-0 declares that the heroes have a hundred reasons to believe Edge, comforting her. When Edge was following the heroes in Beacon Beach, Augie became worried about their safety. After the heroes save Twinkle with the help of Edge, Augie arrives to congratulate them, but becomes shocked to see Edge again (even calling her a Spark Hunter). Edge corrects him, and the heroes continue their adventure.
With Edge created by Cursa with the intention to lead the Spark Hunters, Cursa gave Edge free will of thinking to improve her leadership skills. Using this free will, Edge realizes that Cursa is evil and betrays it. Edge joins the other heroes to defeat Cursa. Being the former leader of the Spark Hunters, Edge still cares about them even after leaving them. Edge briefly tried to turn the other Spark Hunters to the side of good, but they remained loyal to Cursa as they do not have the free will of thinking that Edge has. Edge shows mercy towards Midnite after the heroes defeat her inside the Winter Palace. hearing of Kanya while in the Melodic Gardens, Edge shows confusion and tells Allegra that all of the Spark Hunters have already been defeated. When she meets Kanya herself, she has no idea who she is, as Kanya was created after Edge left Cursa. Edge works alongside the other heroes to take her down. Unlike the other Spark Hunters, Edge shows no sympathy for Kanya. After Cursa is defeated, Edge tells Rosalina that her "old pals" are still alive and have to look for a different profession.

- “NOT a Spark Hunter. Name's Edge.”
- —Edge, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Edge (also referred to as Rabbid Edge or Steward of Sparks[2][3]) is a warrior Rabbid that appears as one of the main playable characters in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Unlike the other playable Rabbids, she is not based on a character from the Super Mario franchise, instead possessing spiky black and green hair and wearing a jacket, along with black fingerless gloves and black and green boots. She wields the Flying Blade, a large sword with two rabbit ear-like protrusions on the tip of the blade.[3] Her Stormblade Technique will damage any enemy that moves, similar to Hero Sight and Steely Stare, as well as all enemies within Edge's range. She can also Dash enemies up to four times in one turn.[4] Edge joins the heroes at the start of the Beacon Beach battle Driven to the Edge, along with the Spark Exosphere.
Her name is a pun on "edgy," a term often used to mock characters and works viewed as taking excessive yet ultimately ineffectual measures to appeal to older male audiences, tying in with her punk-inspired design and characterization.
History[edit]
Background[edit]
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]
The Last Spark Hunter[edit]
Rayman in the Phantom Show[edit]
Edge makes a small cameo in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC, where she, along with the other heroes (with the exception of Bowser) see Rayman's gift to Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario - a copy of his hoodie.
General information[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Powers and abilities[edit]
Movement[edit]
In battle, Edge can perform up to four Dashes in a turn if the upgrades are purchased on the "Movement" branch of her Skill Tree, making her the hero with the most Dashes in the game. These Dashes can also increase her movement by 3m and increase each subsequent Dash's power by an additional 20%. Edge can also increase her glide time after performing a Team Jump with another hero.
Weapon[edit]
Edge's weapon is the Flying Blade. It can be thrown at an enemy, damaging them and hitting other enemies in its path before returning to Edge, striking them again. The weapon has medium range, ignores partial cover and deals more hits to bigger enemies. In the "Weapon" branch of Edge's Skill Tree, upgrades can be purchased to increase the critical hit chance, range, and size of the Flying Blade, as well as increasing the damage by 5% for each hit dealt to enemies in a throw.
Technique[edit]
Relationships with other characters[edit]

Memory bio[edit]
- EDGE
I will confess to having monitored Edge, for the simple reason that she is an enigma, making it difficult to know if she can be trusted fully.
What IS known, is that she is a skilled fighter, wielding her flying sword as if it were a part of her.
I do trust her, though I cannot explain why. Is it instinct? Wishful thinking? Hope? Perhaps it is all three, for what really is the difference?

That edge let me see Cursa for what it is - a black hole of greed leading to a bottomless pit of misery. Bedrock, Midnite, Daphne - I tried to turn them to the light, instead they turned on me. So I hit the road - tried to save what Sparks I could 'fore they got their hands on 'em. That's the truth of it. I didn't say anything 'cause I figured you didn't have a reason to believe me."
