Crumbling walkways,[1] also referred to as orange and yellow panels,[2] crumbling metal panels,[3] collapsing bridges,[4] collapsing platforms,[4] fragile platforms,[4] and Falling Platforms,[5] are objects that appear in Super Mario Odyssey. They can be first encountered in the Wooded Kingdom, where they are used to climb the Crumbling Tower to obtain two Power Moons, one of which requires Mario to bring an Uproot on this tower through these platforms. Crumbling walkways in this kingdom slowly sink down upon contact before breaking in the air.
Crumbling walkways later reappear in the Metro Kingdom, where they appear inside the New Donk City Hall. Here, they have a different appearance and break faster. These objects also appear in the Vanishing Road sub-areas of the aforementioned kingdom and the Dark Side.
