Mincers are spiky tire obstacles that debut in Donkey Kong Country. Mincers have the same movement patterns as Zingers, either moving continuously in a set pattern or remaining idle on either the ground or in mid-air. Mincers are entirely indestructible, including from Animal Friends and a TNT Barrel. Mincers are first encountered in Torchlight Trouble and appear in some of the later levels, most of which take place underground. However, Mincers also appear in an underwater stage, Poison Pond. Mincers lastly appear in Manic Mincers, of which they are the main obstacle and titular feature.

Mincers made their second and only other appearance in Donkey Kong Land, acting no differently than in their debut appearance. They appear in levels such as Reef Rampage, but also prominently within Spiky Tyre Trail. They usually appear in Bonus Levels, such as in Deck Trek and in Button Barrel Blast, their last level appearance.
