Walking Trees[1] are obstacles in the Mario Kart series. They appear on the Luigi's Mansion course, introduced in Mario Kart DS and returning in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour, where they shuffle from side to side. Colliding with a Walking Tree while racing stops the player similarly to colliding with a wall, as opposed to spinning out. Walking Trees are more detailed in Mario Kart DS, dark green in Mario Kart 7, and brown in Mario Kart Tour.
