'''Button Mashers''' is a Duel [[minigame]] found in ''[[Mario Party 5]]'' and ''[[Mario Party: The Top 100]]''. It was also included as part of a ''Mario Party 5'' demo found on a bonus disc bundled with preorder copies of ''[[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!]]''

This mini-game consists of two players who must button mash certain buttons in order to win. Blocks fall from the sky, and each has a button of the GameCube Controller on it. The player must press this button as fast as possible so the character can keep the weight. Things get more difficult when the second block falls. The player now must press as fast as possible the two buttons (Block 1 and Block 2) as fast as possible. Then will fall Block 3, and so on. The winner is, obviously, the one whose blocks don't fall. Upon winning, the victorious character will throw the blocks up back to the sky and do its trademark dance.

Players must try to avoid getting crushed by the blocks falling from the sky. To do so, they must quickly and simultaneously press every button shown on each of the blocks they are carrying. If both players survive for a few seconds, another block falls, requiring the players to press two buttons simultaneously. If both players still survive, another block falls, making a total of three, then four, five, and finally six. After that, the player who presses the buttons slower gets crushed and loses. However, if both players get crushed at the same time, the minigame ends in a draw.

This mini-game takes place in a western-themed arena, common to many duel mini-games which consist of simple actions. The arena is surrounded by buildings. In the far background, a windmill and some hills are seen, as well as the entrance to the "town".
