Hydrostars is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 5.
Overview[edit]
The minigame opens with the four players arriving at the starting gate in their speedboats.[1]
Players compete to pass through five gates in order, with an arrow onscreen guiding them on where to go, and then cross the finish line. The only obstacles are crates, which stun players temporarily. The first player to fulfill the objective wins, though in Mini-Game Decathlon, where Hydrostars is seventh minigame, the player tries to earn as many points as they can, up to 1,000.[2] If no one finishes within five minutes, it is a draw.
The minigame ends with the winner waving while continuing to drive, though this animation is not in Mini-Game Decathlon.

- Rules – "Steer the boat through all of the gates in numerical order. Whoever reaches the finish line first wins."
- Advice – "The arrows point in the direction of the next marker, so follow their lead!"
