Twist 'n' Out is a Battle minigame found in Mario Party 5. Its name is a pun on the title of the song "Twist and Shout," which was first recorded by The Top Notes and later popularized by The Isley Brothers and The Beatles.
Introduction[edit]
The four players are standing in a flower-filled field in a meadow as a Tweester flies around and creates a tornado that surrounds them.
Gameplay[edit]
This minigame consists of each player trying to hit the others into the tornado surrounding them with their hammer. When and where the hammer hits changes the direction the characters fly when knocked. The tornado also slowly gets smaller as time passes. The last player remaining is the winner. If everyone gets blown away, the minigame ends in a draw.
Ending[edit]
Once someone wins, the tornado disappears as the Tweester flies away, and the losers fall from the sky, dazed. The cloudy day turns sunny, and the winner does their winning animation as confetti lands around them. If a tie occurs, all the players fall from the sky, dazed.
Controls[edit]
- – Move
- – Swing hammer
In-game text[edit]
- Rules – "Stay in the eye of the tornado, and don't get knocked outside. The last one standing wins."
- Advice – "Use the hammer to knock your opponents into the tornado. The direction they fly depends on when and where the hammer hits."
