Logger Heads is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9. The concept is similar to Log Jam from Mario Party 3. The name of the minigame is a pun on "loggerhead", an idiom that was formerly used to call someone an idiot. The concept of the game is similar to Slap Down, from Mario Party 3, since each person has to hit a log fast enough, and reacting too early could result in hitting a Bob-omb, or an incorrect flower. However, a competitor isn't out for hitting it at the wrong time, and each player must hit 3 logs to win.

Mario Party: The Top 100:

Logger Heads is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party: The Top 100. Its name is a pun on "loggerheads," a former term for stupid people.

Introduction[edit]

The players approach the stump and lift their axes in preparation.

Gameplay[edit]

Players try to be the first to split the log that the Whittle puts on the trunk in half. Occasionally, the Whittle may put a Bob-omb on the stump instead of a log, and players must duck. Failing to do so or chopping the Bob-omb causes players to be stunned for the next round (or the current round if all players are stunned). The first player to get three points wins, and the minigame immediately ends; this means that the other players are ranked based on how many logs they have chopped.

In Perspective Mode, this is the second minigame played, and the player views the minigame from behind their character.

Like 10 to Win, Snow Go, and Pizza Me, Mario, this minigame ends when one player reaches the goal.
