Dash Peppers are fruits appearing in Super Mario Galaxy 2. If Yoshi eats a Dash Pepper, he will turn orange[1], and gain the ability to run much faster than normal; this power-up is known as Dash Yoshi. This allows Yoshi (and Mario) to run up steep hills, up vertical faces, and across water [2] during a restricted period of time. While the power-up is in use, the music in the level speeds up. It is used primarily in the Hightail Falls Galaxy, where it is introduced. It is also used in the Starshine Beach Galaxy.
