History

Mario first sees Petunia at the east of Flower Fields, where Petunia lives. Petunia is in distress because her roots are being eaten away by Monty Moles, so Petunia asks Mario to defeat the Monty Moles and save her. Petunia can point out which Monty Moles to defeat during the battle.

As a reward for being rescued, Petunia gives Mario the Magical Bean. Petunia asks Mario to never plant the Magical Bean because she believes that seeds should never be planted because it would prevent from moving around. Petunia is nicknamed "Seed Maniac" by the other flowers because of her belief over seeds.

Once the Sun is restored, Petunia finds his rays relaxing and starts to change her mind about being rooted.

Mario can find the Red Berry tree in Petunia's area. Beyond her area is a well, and throwing in a Blue Berry causes a Flower Saver Badge to pop out. If Mario throws anything else into the well, a Crazee Dayzee or Bzzap! comes out.

Profile

  • Tattle: "This flower is named Petunia. She's obsessed with Seeds. She's pretty talkative. She says she doesn't do anything with the Seeds. She just collects them. Collecting Seeds? Talk about a boring hobby! Don't you think so, Mario?"
