Granite Getaway is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 6 and Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Overview[edit]

Granite Getaway
Gameplay from Super Mario Party Jamboree

The minigame opens with a scene of the characters looking around in a cave before a giant boulder starts rolling their way.

The gameplay involves the players continuing to run from the boulder. Any player squished by the boulder is eliminated, and holding the Control Stick the entire time is required to avoid this from occurring. There are obstacles to jump over along the way. At the end, the boulder falls through a wooden floor, though a gateway stops the boulder in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Any player who makes it to the end wins. If the boulder squishes every player, it is a tie, but in Super Mario Party Jamboree, this occurs only if every player is squished at once.

The minigame ends with the surviving players doing their victory animations. In Super Mario Party Jamboree, the losers perform their losing animation behind the winning players.
