Introduction
Overview
In the screen, the player will see the Sun that is going sunset. There are some trees and rocks at both sides of the lane as these objects are on the grass. The camera moves backward without looking at the back, revealing the finish line with the sign post; and a Thwomp as an obstacle. Then the screen shows two teams that have the log boards on the feet ready to play the mini-game, as the mini-game begins.
Desert Dash involves the team members working together to move with log boards on their feet and cross the finish line at the end. Both team members can step forward on a certain side, indicated by a dialog box. If a player moves their foot in a wrong direction, a red "X" displays on the box, and the team collapses temporarily. The only actual obstacle is a Thwomp, which tries to crush the players. The first team to cross the finish line wins.

Gameplay
The Mario Party: The Top 100 version is mostly the same, except the Thwomp has an updated design, and the boards are red and blue. Also, whenever a team player does an incorrect step, the Circle Pad notification becomes pink.
The two teams in the mini-game have their log boards on their feet as the two players in one team have to work together to cross the finish line. To go forward, both players in a team will have to step on a certain side using their feet as the dialog appears on each team showing which way both players will have to go to move forward at the same time. If one of the players in a team moves with a different side with it's foot, the team will collapse onto the ground and then standing up to resume. If it occurs, the team loses some time on getting to the finish line.

Additionally in the mini-game, there is a Thwomp in the sky near onto the ground as an obstacle; attempting to crush one of the teams as they pass. After that, the Thwomp slowly lifts from the ground to make the next crush when it is triggered by going to the highest height and the process repeats. If one of the teams gets crushed by the Thwomp, the team will lose time on getting to the finish line.
Desert Dash can be bought from the Mini-Game House in Mario Party for 150 coins when it becomes available.

The first team who crosses the finish line first wins the mini-game.

Mario Party: The Top 100:

Desert Dash is a 2-vs-2 minigame in Mario Party and Mario Party: The Top 100.

Overview[edit]

Desert Dash involves the team members working together to move with log boards on their feet and cross the finish line at the end. Both team members can step forward on a certain side, indicated by a dialog box. If a player moves their foot in a wrong direction, a red "X" displays on the box, and the team collapses temporarily. The only actual obstacle is a Thwomp, which tries to crush the players. The first team to cross the finish line wins.

The Mario Party: The Top 100 version is mostly the same, except the Thwomp has an updated design, and the boards are red and blue. Also, whenever a team player does an incorrect step, the Circle Pad notification becomes pink.

Desert Dash can be bought from the Mini-Game House in Mario Party for 150 coins when it becomes available.
