The Retry Clock is an item in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. If both Mario and Luigi or Bowser fall in battle, the Retry Clock will allow them to restart the battle with all of their HP and SP fully restored.  The Retry Clock is similar to a Life Shroom, however, it is in some ways better and in some ways worse.  It is better insofar as Mario and Luigi will be reinvigorated with all their stats from the battle's start. It is worse insofar as the battle must begin again from the beginning and all damage dealt to the enemies from the start will be undone leaving the enemies at full health too.  No Retry Clock may be purchased by either Bowser or the brothers; they are only given out as rewards for winning battles or found in blocks. They are very useful if a player misses a Save Block or just forgets to save, as all of his or her progress will be retained if they fall in battle.  Retry Clocks are very limited, though very useful.

First appearance Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (2009)
Effect Restart a battle

The Retry Clock is an item in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. If both Mario and Luigi or Bowser fall in battle, the Retry Clock allows them to restart the battle with their HP and SP at the state before the battle started, although this also resets the enemy's HP. Retry Clocks can most usually be obtained by either hitting ? Blocks using the brothers or breaking Brick Blocks using Bowser. Additionally, they are given out as rewards from golden panels that Bowser can Body Slam on, or from winning certain boss battles. None of the shops sell Retry Clocks.

Excluding boss battles and golden Body Slam panels, a total of 19 Retry Clocks can be obtained in the overworld or inside Bowser, in the following places:

1. Plack Beach - Given to Bowser by Broque Monsieur during his battle.
2. Pump Works - In a ? Block in the second room.
3. Dimble Wood - In a Brick Block to the left of Broque Monsieur's shop, surrounded by trees that Bowser must burn by breathing fire.
4. Dimble Wood - In a Brick Block in the bottom right corner of the room with the Squiggler.
5. Flab Zone - In the top left corner of the first room, accessible by jumping on platforms.
6. Blubble Lake - In a Brick Block in the bottom right corner of the map.
7. Energy Hold - In a ? Block in the room immediately before battling Wisdurm.
8. Bowser Castle - In a Brick Block near the feast room used to access the Flab Zone.
9. Dimble Wood - In a ? Block in the bottom-left corner of the map. Only accessible after Luigi gets stuck inside a Sockop.
10. Toad Town - In a ? Block inside a red Toad House in the center of town.
11. Peach's Castle Garden - In a ? Block in the room with the orange staircase, accessible by climbing up the steps and performing a Spin Jump across the tops of the hedges.
12. Peach's Castle - In a Brick Block, in the room directly to the left of the fireplace room on the second floor. Accessible by climbing the soft dirt wall using the Spike Ball.
13. Peach's Castle - In a Brick Block on the third floor, in the top right corner of the room in the center of the map.
14. Airway - In a ? Block in the room directly below the first room, accessible by climbing up the purple platforms.
15. Airway - In a ? Block in the third-to-last room, accessible by falling down the second gap in the floor.
16. Peach's Castle - In a Brick Block in the room connected to the castle's front entrance.
17. Peach's Castle - In a Brick Block on the walkway leading to the arena where Dark Bowser is battled.
18. Peach's Castle - In a ? Block in the room connected to the castle's front entrance.
19. Toad Town - Found in the 10th Mushroom Ball during the Mushroom Ball Derby.

Retry Clocks do not appear in the Nintendo 3DS version, since the player can restart battles if they receive a Game Over.
