History

Super Mario Run

Three Kodeka Kakibō climbing up a slope in a special Remix 10 course
Big Goombrat in a Remix 10 level

In Super Mario Run, Big Goombrats can only be encountered during select courses in the Remix 10 mode. Like their smaller counterparts, they simply walk on the ground and turn around when they encounter a margin. While they do not actively try to attack Mario, Big Goombrat can still hurt him if touched from the sides. Big Goombrats will split into two regular Goombrats upon being stomped on, similarly to how Hefty Goombas divide into two Goombas in the New Super Mario Bros. games. As seen in the World 5-1 Special Remix Course, Big Goombrats also split if knocked with a ? Block from below. They can be defeated instantly by running into them while invincible.

Super Mario Maker 2

Big Goombrat can be created in Super Mario Maker 2 by adding a Super Mushroom to a regular Goombrat in the Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, and New Super Mario Bros. U styles. They act the same as in Super Mario Run, and can also be given wings, parachutes, stacked onto other enemies, put into Koopa Clown Cars, Warp Pipes, etc. In addition, a Goombud variant of these enemies can be created only in the Super Mario World style.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Big Goombrats reappear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, where some float down on dandelion seeds as parachutes. They only appear in Bloomps of the Desert Skies.
