The Egyptian Koopa[1] is a large ancient Egyptian-themed Koopa Troopa who is one of the bosses from Mario Pinball Land. He appears inside the pyramid in the Shifting Sands Stage and is capable of floating. He first appears as a statue, turning "real" when Mario reaches his room and presses the floor panel. He attacks Mario by using enchanted obelisks to make magic spheres appear; the spheres follow Mario, and when they touch him, they make him smaller and more likely to fall out of the area. However, if Mario hits the enchanted obelisks, he will become bigger. To defeat the Egyptian Koopa, Mario has to run into the enchanted obelisks to make himself extra large and hit him three times while big. Once defeated, he shrinks away and leaves behind his headdress and canes, which disappear soon after, and a Star Key.
