First appearance | Mario Pinball Land (2004) |
Beehives (spelled in both lowercase[1] and uppercase[2]), or hives,[3] appear in Mario Pinball Land as interactive objects in the Grassy Greens Stage. Some beehives contain Bumblers, in which case their top moves left and right. The player bounces off beehives on contact. Hitting a beehive with Bumblers causes them to exit it individually, though they return to the beehive after some time. A beehive can be entered while under the effects of a Mini Mushroom. Several Bumblers and a ? Block with a Yoshi Egg appear inside, regardless whether the beehive is empty or not, and a Star can also be obtained in this room. Exiting the beehive causes the Mini Mario form to wear off.
