(Added German name. Also, I didn't quite understand the meaning of "The player's character cannot affect them at all" when it's clearly not the case and contradicted a few sentences before. Or am I interpreting something wrong? Please tell me if so.) |

The title of this article is official, but it comes from a non-English source. If an acceptable English source is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.
Banekiti (generically referred to by Prima as "springs"[1]) are extremely rare, indestructible obstacles appearing in Super Mario Galaxy. They resemble yellowish-brown ovals with a pair of beady eyes and four sprouting springs. Banekiti move from side to side in order to bounce and delay Boo Mario, thus hindering the passage and giving the Spooky Speedster better chances at winning the race. Only four Banekiti appear in the entire game, exclusively seen in Boo's Boneyard Galaxy.
