Name[edit]

It is not capitalized in the source, so it is possibly not intended to be a propoer noun, nor an actual name. I think it's merely used to describe them. Do they have a mention on the encyclopedia if they have a Japanese name, and what's the internal filename? No, i'm not suggesting to move the page into its internal filename. --A Boo hiding and revealing itself. FanOfYoshi Splunkin model from New Super Mario Bros. 13:06, 20 February 2019 (EST)

Mister Wu already said they aren't in the Encyclopedia. Also, we no longer have direct access to the file names for SMG, as the site hosting that list was retooled. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:08, 20 February 2019 (EST)
It is mentioned in Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros., second from the left on the top of page 137 (listed among items and objects instead of characters and enemies): 「バネキチ」 (Banekichi). Internal name is "Banekiti", which is another possible romanization. Given that "spring" isn't a proper name (and, to no surprise, is used in the English version), I'd support a move to the official "Banekiti" under the another language template. I support this move. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 14:26, 20 February 2019 (EST)
Checked the scans on Google Books, the information came from us anyways. This is a Fire Cannon case. I support moving it into "Banekiti" with the another language template. --A Boo hiding and revealing itself. FanOfYoshi Splunkin model from New Super Mario Bros. 02:36, 21 February 2019 (EST)

Change it to spring.

That's not really a clear enough name. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:59, April 8, 2021 (EDT)
The Prima guide calls it spring. Just change it to spring it makes sense.

Too generic. It does have a name, it's just not normally seen by most. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:25, April 8, 2021 (EDT)
Well the rules say an English Source NOT from the encyclopedia so just title it Spring.

Changing the name to "spring" would be unhelpful. You cannot just discount the context with which the Prima Games was written. It clearly describes them as "springs" in a general sense, not as their name. It is very likely that Prima Games was not provided any official name for the creature so the author of the guide made a consciously reserved effort to describe them in a general sense. - Nintendo101 (talk) 22:02, April 8, 2021 (EDT)
How about spring head? Maybe people will start calling it spring head.
