Template:Species-infobox Fluffin' Puffins are allies exclusive to Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. They are similar to Huffin Puffins from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story, except the adult is defeated when jumped on, and the chicks are limbless and have green spots to resemble Yoshi Eggs. Additionally, when thrown, the chicks fly in a straight path similar to a yarn ball and leave a path of fluff behind them, which acts as a platform, instead of returning to Yoshi in a boomerang motion. Fluffin' Puffin chicks can also be encountered separated from their parents in crowds, which Yoshi can walk into to fill up his stash.

The fluff platforms they create disintegrate after a short time. Yoshi can ground pound on any spot on the platform to break through it. If the chicks hit a surface or an enemy after being thrown, they disappear. They are also weaker than yarn balls, as they cannot be used to defeat Piranha Plants or Wild Ptooie Piranhas, but can be used to attack other enemies such as Koopa Paratroopas. Fluffin' Puffins only appear in the level Fluffin' Puffin Babysitting; collecting all of the Wonder Wools in the level unlocks Fluffin' Puffin Yoshi.
