Negotiate is a first officer command used by Ludwig in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. It is Ludwig's first command, the second being Stop and Drop. It costs 6 CP to use. Once activated, Ludwig will run up to an enemy and attempt to reason with them, convincing them to leave the battle. If successful, the enemy will leave the battle. If this is not effective, the enemy will remain on the field and Ludwig will receive a stat boost instead.
