Regional Coins[1] are one of the main collectibles in Super Mario Odyssey. They are purple and can be used to buy outfits, stickers and souvenirs.[2] There are 100 located in each kingdom, and their shape and design vary in each kingdom.[3][4]
Designs
Regional Coins have different designs in each kingdom.
- City Coins[5] with Pauline's face on one side in the Metro Kingdom
- Pyramid Coins[6] representing the Inverted Pyramid in the Sand Kingdom
- Bolt nuts in the Wooded Kingdom
- Polygonal tomatoes in the Luncheon Kingdom
- Wheels in the Cascade Kingdom[7]
- Shells in the Seaside Kingdom[8]
- Top hats in the Cap Kingdom
- Leaves in the tropical-jungle kingdom[9]
