Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is an upcoming Nintendo Switch remaster of the Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns set to be released worldwide on January 16, 2025. First announced during the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, the game features all levels from Donkey Kong Country Returns as well as the extra Cloud levels included in the Nintendo 3DS port, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. It is the second reissue in the Donkey Kong Country series to be released for the Nintendo Switch, following the port of the Wii U game Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and the sixth reissue in the series overall.

Gameplay changes
- As in New Mode from Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have three hearts instead of two like in the original game.
Graphical changes
- Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have more detailed fur similar to their Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze models.
- The counters for collectibles such as bananas use a different font.
- The game uses the redesigned logo for the Donkey Kong franchise, first seen with the Nintendo Switch remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
Miscellaneous
- The box art no longer shows the Tiki Tong Tower since the box is smaller.
