World 7-3 is the second level of World 7 in Super Mario Bros. Special. It is an athletic stage set on bridges.
The level begins with a staircase leading to a bridge above water, filled with many Red Cheep-cheeps that leap out of the water and with Green Koopa Troopa and Green Koopa Paratroopas atop it, leading to a large jump over a pit to an island with a ? Block containing a powerup above it. Red Cheep-cheeps continue to leap from below the screen, even after the water stops. To the right of a second, smaller island are three disconnected, shorter bridges with Hard Block columns holding them up, protected by some more Green Koopa Paratroopas and leading to another wide island with a ? Block containing a powerup. After two more separated bridges, this time protected by two Sidesteppers, to the right is one final island leading to a tall Warp Pipe containing a Piranha Plant. If Mario enters the pipe, he will enter a secret area with a third ? Block housing a power-up, as well as many Hidden Blocks containing Coins. If Mario does not enter the pipe, he will fall from the tall pipe back to the ground, and after a few pits, a Hammer Brother is stationed next to another tall pipe. To the left of the tall pipe are two Hidden Blocks that form a staircase up to the pipe. If Mario entered the secret area, he will exit out of this pipe. Past the pipe is a precarious setup of two Hard Blocks above a wide pit, near four Red Koopa Paratroopas. To the left of the leftmost Hard Block is a Hidden Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom. After one last jump from the right Hard Block is the flagpole, with a single coin next to its flag.
