World 7-2 is the second level of World 7 in Super Mario Bros. Special. It is primarily an underwater stage.
Layout
The level opens with a Warp Pipe next to water, which, when entered from the side, leads to the main underwater portion of the stage. The initial space is very open, with only one column of Coral and four blocks of ground between four Bloobers, guarding some Coins. After a taller column of coral is another pair of Bloobers, this time accompanied by some Green and Red Cheep-cheeps. After a chasm containing Coins that Mario can swim across are another trio of Cheep-cheeps, before an arrangement of ground giving a closer ceiling and two pathways, one forming a staircase downward and one reaching the top of the water, both guarded by Bloobers on each side and with a Red Cheep-cheep nearby. In a field of floating ground, coral, and an empty pipe are a Bloober, two Green Cheep-cheeps, and four Coins, before a brief section with a low ceiling, pillars of ground from the ceiling, and a Green and Red Cheep-Cheep guarding four more Coins, beside a wall made of ground. After passing through a narrow hole in the wall of ground, seven coins beside a tall pillar of coral blocks the way to another wide area, featuring four Green Cheep-cheep, two Bloobers, a single Red Cheep-cheep, and three Fire-Bars, densely packed close to one another and guarding a narrow hallway with a single Red Cheep-cheep within guarding another Warp Pipe. After exiting the Warp Pipe, Mario finds himself above a pit of water and must platform across Cloud Blocks leading up to the flagpole.
