Steal the Beat is a 1-vs.-2 or 3 minigame appearing in Mario Party 10. Its name is a pun on the phrase "feel the beat."

Gameplay[edit]

The players are in a stageroom, with drums in front of them. The solo player must make up a beat the rivals must correctly mimic. Any incorrect or missing beat counts as a mistake for the rivals. The minigame has up to three rounds. If the combined number of mistakes each rival makes is seven in the 1-vs.-2 version or ten in the 1-vs.-3 version, the solo player wins; otherwise, the rivals win.

Controls[edit]

  • A Button − Hit right drum
  • Two Button − Hit left drum

In-game text[edit]

Solo Player: Drum with A Button and Two Button! - Rivals: Match the bandleader's rhythm!

Trivia[edit]

  • Notably, if the solo player loses, instead of them hanging their head as the rivals do when they lose the minigame, a unique animation plays, in which the solo player shrugs before looking at the screen with a sad look on their face. This is the only minigame with this distinction.
