Toadsworth the Younger

Toadsworth the Younger[1] is Toadsworth in his middle-aged years who appears in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Ever since he was young, he has been worrying about Princess Peach, though much less than the future Toadsworth. He and the present Toadsworth team up and teach the Mario Bros. new moves, including the Spin Jump and Bros. Ball (as well as advanced variations of these moves, the Baby Spin and Baby Cakes, respectively) while trying to entertain Baby Peach.

His younger self looks fairly similar to his future self in overall appearance, only with a few differences. He wears a red vest rather than purple, and has a brown mustache (black in-game) rather than the usual white. His mushroom cap is bright beige with brown round spots, and wears a red bowtie, but does not wear the purple dress shirt that his future self wears. Also, unlike his future counterpart, he does not wear glasses or occupy a cane. He also always has his eyebrows raised.

When Baby Peach is sent flying through a hole after the Baby Cakes move is learned, Toadsworth the Younger says that she is not in another castle, a reference to the line used by various Toads in Super Mario Bros.
