Going Up is one of Kat & Ana's microgames in WarioWare Gold.

Gameplay[edit]

The player must choose the floor which the other passengers request. If the player chooses the wrong floor or time runs out, they will lose.

  • 1st level difficulty: There is one passenger to request, and six floors to choose from.
  • 2nd level difficulty: There are two passengers to request, and ten floors to choose from.
  • 3rd level difficulty: There are three passengers to request, and eighteen floors to choose from. All requests are direct.

Possible requests include:

  • Direct
    • "Hurry! I need to get to the [ordinal number] floor! ASAP!"
    • "Could you take me to the [ordinal number] floor? Thank you so much!"
    • "Can you press the button for the [ordinal number] floor, please?"
    • "[ordinal number] floor, please."
    • "...[ordinal number] floor..."
  • One floor below
    • "There's something I must do 1 floor below the [ordinal number] floor..."
    • "Please take me 1 floor below the [ordinal number] floor."
    • "I want to go to the floor below the [ordinal number] floor."
    • "I have a meeting 1 floor below the [ordinal number] floor."
    • "Take me to [ordinal number] floor, please. On second thought, how about the next floor down."
  • One floor above
    • "I can't tell you why... but I need to go 1 floor above [ordinal number] floor..."
    • "Could you take me 1 floor above the [ordinal number] floor?"
    • "Take me to the [ordinal number] floor, please. Oh no! I mean the next floor up!"
    • "I want to go to the floor above the [ordinal number] floor."
    • "I'm going one floor above the [ordinal number] floor."
  • Between two floors
    • "Drop me between the [ordinal number] floor and the [ordinal number] floor, would you?"
    • "Between the [ordinal number] floor and the [ordinal number] floor... Good things await."
    • "Stop between the [ordinal number] floor and the [ordinal number] floor! Please!"
    • "Now where am I going? Oh, yes! Somewhere between the [ordinal number] floor and the [ordinal number] floor."
    • "I'm going between the [ordinal number] floor and the [ordinal number] floor."
  • Different floor
    • "I have no business on the [ordinal number (wrong)] floor... Take me to the [ordinal number (right)] floor instead."
    • "Not the [ordinal number (wrong)] floor! The [ordinal number (right)] floor!"
    • "[ordinal number (wrong)] floor. Hmm... No, the [ordinal number (right)] floor."
    • "Did I say [ordinal number (wrong)] floor? How foolish! I meant the [ordinal number (right)] floor."
    • "The [ordinal number (right)] floor, not the [ordinal number (wrong)] floor!"

Trivia[edit]

  • There is an unused button below 1 that is never requested by any passengers. In the Index the button is listed as "P" while in the actual microgame it is listed as "G".
    • The presence of such a button is likely a result of elevators in parts of continental Europe, where the first floor is the "ground floor", while the first floor in those areas would be the second floor in the rest of the world.
