Super Mario Party Jamboree is an upcoming game in the Mario Party series set to be released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on October 17, 2024. First announced during the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, it is the eighteenth installment in the Mario Party series, the thirteenth released on a home console, and the third released for the Nintendo Switch. Serving as a successor to Super Mario Party, albeit with gameplay mostly modeled after Mario Party Superstars, the game features both new and returning boards, in addition to over 110 minigames, and an expansive roster of playable characters, including newcomers such as Ninji and Pauline.[1]
A playable demo of the game will be available at the Nintendo booth during PAX West 2024 prior to its release from August 30, 2024 to September 3, 2024.[2]

Playable
Super Mario Party Jamboree features 22 playable characters in total so far, the largest number out of any game in the Mario Party series. In addition to the return of all characters from Mario Party Superstars and most from Super Mario Party (excluding Diddy Kong, Hammer Bro, Dry Bones, and Pom Pom), this game marks the first playable appearance in the series of Toad and Toadette since Mario Party: Star Rush and Spike since Mario Party 10. In addition, Ninji and Pauline make their debut as playable characters in the series.

The game features seven total boards. Five of the boards are new to this game, while the other two are returning boards from previous titles. All the boards are depicted as being located on one island together, including the returning boards Mario's Rainbow Castle and Western Land.

- A landmine-like item with a coin emblem with a "1/2" below it that gives half the coins of the player who landed on it to the player who set it up (new)[10]
- A Wiggler bell exclusive to Mega Wiggler's Tree Party that changes the position of the Mega Wiggler (new)[10]
- A blue conch shell that changes the tides of Goomba Lagoon (new)[10]
- A 200% sticker that is used on another player and will cause anything they buy on their next turn, including Stars, to be double the price (new)[10]
- A lever that changes the path of the conveyor belts in King Bowser's Keep (new)[10]
Minigames
There are over 110 minigames set to appear, the highest amount of minigames in a Mario Party title to date. Some minigames are brand-new, while others return from past Mario Party games. Motion-controlled minigames return, requiring a Joy-Con, and are not available when playing online. However, button-controlled minigames can still be played using a Pro Controller or while using a Nintendo Switch Lite.[13] The confirmed minigames are listed below.[1]
Free-For-All
Some minigames can be played with five players, with the fifth player being a CPU ally that can be recruited by the winning player in board gameplay.[10]
- A minigame where players must traverse an obstacle course consisting of Amps, mechanical Boos, and mechanical Chain Chomps
- A racing minigame where players ride Yoshis
- A minigame where players must hammer nails on a wooden plank
- Hot Cross Blocks,[14] a minigame where players have to choose block pieces to traverse over a pool of lava
- A minigame where players must roll a golf ball into a hole by tilting the ground
- A minigame where players stand on a grated platform above lava and must avoid Fire Bars and Magmaarghs[6]
- A minigame where players stand on ice blocks and must avoid being blown off by Ty-foos[4]
- A minigame where players play a Waluigi-themed pinball machine[15]
- Sandwiched,[14] a minigame where players have to avoid being crushed by falling sandwiches[15]
- A minigame where players have to collect flags on a planet analogous to Claiming the Cube from Mario Party: Island Tour[15]
- A minigame where players have to avoid Horned Ant Troopers while jumping on the regular ones[16]
- A snowboarding minigame where players race downhill and jump off ramps, resembling Alpine Assault from Mario Party 8[16]
- Bumper Balls, returning from Mario Party[15]
- Platform Peril, returning from Mario Party[16]
- Shy Guy Says, returning from Mario Party, specifically Mario Party 2's version of the minigame[15]

- A minigame where the player drives a car down a futuristic lane and must collect coins, resembling Rapid River Race
- A minigame where the player must drop a Yoshi plush toy and various blocks by pushing them with a mechanical finger
- A minigame where players must run away from Giant Bowser while avoiding lava and cannonballs
- A minigames where players must whack Monty Moles with a hammer as they appear. A normal Monty Mole is worth one coin, a golden Monty Mole is worth three, and hitting a Bob-omb temporarily stuns the player.[18]
1 vs. 3
- Sunset Standoff,[14] a minigame where three players must dodge the solo player riding a mechanical Banzai Bill toward them
- Cookie Cutters,[14] a minigame where players must use differently-shaped cookie cutters to make cookie shapes out of dough[5]
- A minigame where one player rides Plessie down a river to collect points, while the other three are on rafts[5]
- A minigame where one player controls a giant mechanical Broozer and must punch the other three players[6]
- A minigame where the solo player hides under one of four hatches underneath a giant hammer while the other three guess which hatch to hit with it.[18]
- A minigame where the solo player hits an ON/OFF Switch to eliminate the three players with Grrrols analogous to both Spike-n-Span and Hop, Drop, and Roll from Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10 respectively[16]
- A minigame where the solo player and Cheep Cheeps have to avoid getting captured by the three players, resembling both Spotlight Swim and Flash and Dash from Mario Party 3 and Mario Party DS respectively[16]
- Blame It on the Crane, returning from Mario Party 4[16]
- Snow Brawl, returning from Mario Party 6[16]
2 vs. 2
- An arm-wrestling minigame where players mash buttons to strengthen their mechanical arm
- Prime Cut,[19] a minigame where both players must saw off parts of a giant steak[5]
- Tricky Turntable,[14] a minigame where players have to hop on a button to turn a turntable to gain coins, analogous to Whomp Stomp, Fruit Cahoots and Conkdor de Force from Mario Party 9, Mario Party 10, and Mario Party: Star Rush respectively[6]
- A minigame where players have to spin their wheels of shapes to match the example analogous to Pixel Perfect from Mario Party 6[16]
- Defuse or Lose, returning from Mario Party 5[16]
- Jump the Gun, returning from Mario Party 6[16]
Duel
- A minigame where players have to Ground Pound to a button to have a hand slap the other player, analogous to Slammer from Mario Party Advance. If a player jumps before the hand reaches them, the other player will be hit unless they jump as well.[15]
Rhythm
- A minigame where players must chop giant potatoes and eggplants.[20]
8-Player
- A minigame where players must order cards to depict an image of a Dragoneel, Cheep Cheeps, Bloopers, and Sushi
- A minigame where players must win a race against a giant Wiggler by walking in tandem, resembling Dungeon Dash
- A minigame where players fire cannonballs at Giant Bowser
- A minigame where a player has to rally a ball to another player to get it to the right-hand side[16]
- A minigame where players have to shoot star-shaped targets to gain points[16]
- A minigame where three players have to collect apples from apple trees and put them in boxes, two players have to make the apples into juice and three players have to box the juice and put it on a truck being operated by a Koopa Troopa[16]

- Mario Party: Mario's Rainbow Castle returns as a board. Platform Peril and Treasure Divers return as minigames. Bumper Balls reappears and can be played with five players.
- Mario Party 2: Western Land returns as a board. Shy Guy Says uses this version of the minigame and can have five players.
- Mario Party 4: Blame It on the Crane, Domination, Stamp Out!, and Three Throw return as minigames.
- Mario Party 5: Defuse or Lose and Leaf Leap return as minigames.
- Mario Party 6: Granite Getaway, Jump the Gun and Snow Brawl return as minigames.

- Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars: Many elements from these games, including voice clips, animations, and models, are reused. The game is a successor to Super Mario Party, and similarly utilizes Joy-Con for certain motion-based minigames. Boards returning from previous titles is a concept first introduced in Mario Party Superstars. Kamek also reprises his role as host from Super Mario Party.
