The City Zoo is a location appearing in the Saturday Supercade episode "Gorilla Ghost."
During the episode, Donkey Kong Jr. and Bones visit the zoo to see Uncle Julius, who they believe has information on Donkey Kong's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Aurora, with the assistance of man disguised as a white gorilla known as the Gorilla Ghost, kidnap the zoo animals to speed up the search of gold in her mine, though their plan is foiled by Donkey Kong Jr., Bones, and Uncle Julius.
