Tough Egg to Crack
Tough Egg to Crack is a tutorial battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the second of tutorial battles, taking place on the Darkmess Manta's back. It is fought with Mario and Rabbid Peach. The Heroes' weapons have become disabled due to a malevolent energy and are forced to defeat their enemies by other means. This battle introduces the Dash and Team Jump functions. Clearing this battle triggers a cutscene and leads to the next tutorial battle, A Shot in the Darkmess. This battle does not reward XP or Star Bits.

Layout
The battle consists of a wide arc-shaped platform with a Darkmess Eggs near the end of each, with a Darkmess Eye close to it. This platform is separated by a gap to another platform with another Darkmess Eye and an Darkmess Egg, accessible only with a Team Jump. At the curve of this platform are three sets of two destroyable blocks. A small platform with a lone Stooge is behind these blocks.
