Candlelight Flight is a 1-vs-3 minigame played in Mario Party 4.

Introduction

The game begins in a room. The camera zooms in on the solo player holding a candle. The lights go out, causing the solo player to cry out in shock. The solo player's candle is lit, and the game begins as the camera zooms out.

Gameplay

The setting is a dark room, with the solo player holding a candle and the members of the team each holding a water gun. The goal for the team is to squirt out the solo player's candle. The solo player's goal is to avoid the water from the water guns. The room is completely dark except for the solo player's candle and the candles in the background, making it rather hard for the team players to figure out their characters' positions in the room; hitting the solo player also darkens the room, as the fire on the candle gets smaller with each hit. Fortunately, the water from the team players' squirt guns is visible in the darkness. It takes five squirts to completely snuff the candle out. If the team fails at extinguishing the solo player's candle within the time limit, the solo player wins.

Ending

Whatever the players are holding disappears, and they line up. If the solo player wins, they will do their victory pose while the team players do their losing poses. It is vice versa if the team players win.
