Special skill (Mario Kart Tour)
In Mario Kart Tour, every driver, kart and glider has a special skill that grants particular advantages during a race, such as special items or bonus points.
Driver skills
For drivers, a special skill refers to a unique item that only certain characters can obtain from Item Boxes.
Kart skills
Kart skills increase the duration of speed boosts and the amount of points resulted from performing a certain technique, such as Rocket Starts, Jump Boosts and Slipstreams, or driving over a Dash Panel. The following table classifies karts by their special skill and shows how many bonus points that skill awards per kart tier.

Glider skills
Glider skills increase the chances of obtaining a certain item from Item Boxes, as well as the number of points obtained from using that item. In the case of offensive items, such as Bananas, Green Shells or Bloopers, bonus points are only awarded by successfully landing hits with them. The following table classifies gliders by their special skill and shows how many bonus points that skill awards per glider tier.
