- —Emmit, Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Emmit is Dyode's student in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. He looks up to his "Groovemaster" and hopes to become a skilled dancer like him. Emmit has light blue skin and wears a pair of glasses. He has similar waxed hair to Dyode, although it is shorter and blue instead of red. Emmit's name is derived from "emitter", a term which can refer to cathodes and anodes, components of diodes (Dyode's namesake).
History
In a flashback, it is shown that shortly before Concordia was split apart, Dyode took Emmit to Twistee Island. However, Dyode ran out of hair wax and could no longer dance. When Mario and Luigi arrive on Twistee Island, Emmit tries to get Dyode to leave, but he refuses. Thankfully, the brothers are able to find hair wax for him, returning his confidence.
In the side quest Stepped into a Slump, Emmit finds himself in a similar situation to Dyode due to the expensive Elite Boots he bought. He is able to dance again once Mario and Luigi make Groove Boots for him, and he gives his Elite Boots to them in return.
On Jellyfish Island, it is revealed that Dyode and Emmit managed to reach the drifting island by paddling a raft for several days. After dancing with Dyode, Emmit gives the brothers Club Dyode Tickets.
Following Reclusa's reawakening, one of the Bonds needed to break the Soli-Tree's barrier is Dyode and Emmit's.
During the credits, Dyode and Emmit can be seen performing on Heatfreeze Island.
