Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is an expression used when someone is removed from a team, e.g., in sports.

Introduction

The four players are shown on a mountain with a small stand and ten wires connected to it.

Gameplay

Players line up and take turns walking onto the stand and cutting one of the ten wires, three of which are "live." A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line. A player who cuts a "live" wire triggers a spring that launches them off the platform, eliminating them. The minigame continues until one player remains, and that player wins.

Controls

  • Wii Remote: Use the Pointer to move scissors left and right.

    • A Button + B Button – Snip

In-game text
