Template:Character-infobox Template:Quote2 Glydon[1] is a bipedal and talking flying lizard enthusiast about flying and gliding who Mario meets in several kinngdoms in Super Mario Odyssey. He himself states that he's travelling in various places to glide from the highest places.[1]

Mario can capture him and take control of him to glide and dive, however, when captured, Glydon is unable to swim and simply disappears as soon as he touches water.[1] Some Power Moons are obtained from other non-playable characters when Mario succesfully makes Glydon reach distant places by gliding.[1]

Physical appearance

Glydon is a yellow bipedal flying lizard. He's taller than Mario and features a long tail, two hands with three fingers and a thumb each and two rather short legs which are typically kept significantly bent and almost perpendicular to his tail, resulting in a very peculiar walking gait. He also has two giant membranes on the shoulder that he uses for flying and are colored reddish orange, with various visible veinings, on the inside, while the outside is red becoming orange on the tip while featuring irregular yellow stripes. While the rest of his skin is mostly yellow colored with faintly visible scales, bar for the back which features small orange stripes, the lower part of his body, from the lower part of the muzzle up to the tip of his tail, is fully white and doesn't feature scales. His head features three short black hairs on the tip and eyes which are at the side and slightly protruding from the head, with big black pupils surrounded by small light orange irises and a white sclera, a well as yellow eyelids that he typically keeps lowered a bit until he's captured by Mario. The upper tip of his muzzle features two small nostrils while the mouth itself is toothless and only features a red rounded tongue. He wears small round red spectales on the tip of his muzzle, a bandana with alternated yellow and red strips that then ends with a strip alternating yellow and red triangles and a green outline and reddish brown shoes with beige outsoles, similar to those worn by Yoshis.
