This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

The Mario vs. Luigi Tour is the ninety-eighth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on June 14, 2023 and ends on June 27, 2023. This tour pits Team Mario and Team Luigi against each other for the third time after the 2020 and 2022 Team Rally tours. This tour marks the longest gap between two Team Rally tours, as the previous one, the November–December 2022 Peach vs. Bowser Tour, occurred fourteen tours prior. It is also the first Team Rally of 2023 (though it is the second tour of 2023 to feature special tokens, the first being the 2023 Mii Tour).

This tour debuts three classic courses: Mario Raceway from Mario Kart 64, Luigi Circuit from Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Waluigi Stadium from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It is the first tour since the 2023 Winter Tour to debut three courses simultaneously, and is the first tour since the 2019 Halloween Tour to debut three classic courses together and give Baby Mario a new top-shelf course. It is the first tour since the Sundae Tour where two variants of the same course are in the same cup, as well as the first tour to feature a cup that only contained SNES courses; in this case, the Baby Peach Cup and its bonus challenge.

Like the 2023 Mario Tour, all Mario Circuits available in the game appear in this tour, except RMX Mario Circuit 1. All new courses from that tour also make their first return in this tour. SNES Ghost Valley 1 also makes its first appearance since the 2022 Halloween Tour.

As of this tour, every Lightning Cup track from Mario Kart: Super Circuit has appeared in Mario Kart Tour, making it the second new-course cup in the series to be represented entirely in Mario Kart Tour, after the Mushroom Cup from Mario Kart 7, which had all of its courses debut in the New York Tour.

This is the first tour to only include one of each of the Battle Courses included in a given tour, as all previous tours had two of each.

This is the last tour to feature the thirteenth set of Expert Challenges, which started in the 2023 Yoshi Tour.

The Roy Cup bonus challenge returns from the 2020 New Years Tour as the Baby Luigi Cup bonus challenge, but it has a new thumbnail.

Today's Challenge

Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in 3DS Mario Circuit in the Mii Cup using Monty Mole Mii Racing Suit for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
