Template:GBoss-infobox Kingfin is a boss in Super Mario Galaxy. It is a giant skeletal shark, living in the Bonefin Galaxy.

Kingfin can summon robotic fishes from the craters in the planet, that work the same way as Torpedo Teds, chasing Mario down from all directions. The more damage Kingfin takes, the more robotic fishes it will summon to attack Mario.

Kingfin appears to be a gigantic fish made completely of bones. It also bears a resemblance to a Fishbone.

Battle

The planet Kingfin is battled on

This battle practices using shells. When Mario goes into the waters of Kingfin's planet, it will appear with two robotic fishes that track Mario down and take away one health. There is only one way for Mario and Luigi to defeat these robotic fishes; they must lure them to the surface. If the fishes touch the surface they will automatically explode. If Mario touches Kingfin, he will lose a health. The only way to defeat Kingfin is to grab one of the green or red shells on the floor of the planet and throw it at Kingfin. After one hit, three mechanical fish attack Mario. After five hits, there are five fish there to attack. Once Kingfin is hit five times with shells, he will explode and release a Power Star. But the battle is helped by a Life Mushroom and a treasure chest contaning the only 1-up Mushroom in the level in the water.
