Match Makers is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Its name is a pun on "matchmakers."

Introduction[edit]

The left team approaches a set of five cards before a Whomp drops from above behind a passageway, shocking the duo in the process. The screen then zooms out and shows the team on the right.

Gameplay[edit]

The two teams must work together to reach the end of a dungeon by finding and holding the two cards with matching enemy pictures, which causes the floor's Whomp to move out of the way leading to the next floor. If a player is holding a card, they are unable to move. The dungeon has four floors in total, with further floors having one more card than the last; the first room starts with five cards, while the fourth and final room has eight. The first team to clear the fourth floor wins.

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Move
  • Single Joy-Con Right Button – Pick up/drop card

In-game text[edit]

Teams of two search for cards with matching pictures to escape the floor. The first team to escape four floors is the winner.
