Flophoppers[1] are enemies in Super Mario 3D Land. These bug-like creatures are related to Swaphoppers, but they do not attack by using gravity tactics. Instead, they move around in a set area by flipping themselves around, similarly to a Bramball. Flophoppers cannot be jumped on while their spiked helmets are exposed, so Mario (or Luigi) must wait until they flip and their undersides are exposed, a vulnerability shared with Swaphoppers. They can also be defeated by Fire Mario, Boomerang Mario, or Tanooki Mario.
