Chikunto[1] are enemies in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They are a variety of ants that unleash spikes from their body if Mario is nearby, damaging him if he tries to jump on them. A Chikunto eventually retracts its spikes, at which point it can defeated from being stomped. Chikunto can be defeated by a fireball, either way. Chikunto are encountered in the first stage of Macro Zone only.
