Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. The Sunshine Tour is the one-hundred-and-first tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on July 26, 2023 and will ends on August 8, 2023. This tour introduces Lakeside Park from Mario Kart: Super Circuit as a brand new classic course to the game while also adding in R/T variants for GCN Daisy Cruiser and SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2; the latter’s R/T variant was previously seen in a screenshot during the Summer Tour. As of this tour, all Yoshi colors from Mario Kart 8 are present in Mario Kart Tour.
This tour marks the first reappearance of Sydney Sprint 2R/T since its debut in the September 2021 Sydney Tour, the first reappearance of Normal, Reverse and Trick variants of Sydney Sprint 2 since the Anniversary Tour, the first reappearance of Sydney Sprint since the 2nd Anniversary Tour, the first reappearance of GCN Daisy Cruiser since the 2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour, the first reappearance of Wii Daisy Circuit since its debut in the Princess Tour, and the first reappearance of SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2 since the Samurai Tour thirty-five tours prior, thus, making it the longest gap in the game.
The Summertime Celebration begins this tour and will last for 3 tours.
