The Sunshine Tour is the one-hundred-and-first tour of Mario Kart Tour, which begins on July 26, 2023 and ends on August 8, 2023. This tour introduces Lakeside Park from Mario Kart: Super Circuit as a brand new classic course to the game while also adding in GCN Daisy Cruiser's R/T variant.

This tour marks the first reappearance of Sydney Sprint since the 2nd Anniversary Tour, the first reappearance of GCN Daisy Cruiser since the 2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour, and the first reappearance of Wii Daisy Circuit since its debut in the Princess Tour.

The YouTube videos linked to the in-game news announcement for the tour trailer and Mii Racing Suit trailer were initially marked as private and publicized on the platform later than usual. The tour's trailer, however, was still publicly viewable on Twitter.

Like the 2023 Doctor Tour, the background is similar to the Ocean Tour, but the background takes place in the dining hall with Yoshi (Kangaroo) replacing Rosalina (Swimwear) and Mario (Swimwear).

This tour also has the same name of the exact course featuring on the console version of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
